Hampton Manor Wedding

Sadie and Paul tied the knot in the autumn last year (2019) at the gorgeous Hampton Manor

DONNA YOU WERE ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE, YOU WERE SO PATIENT WITH US AND SUCH A LOVELY PERSON! PICS LOOK STUNNING AND WE’LL CHERISH THEM FOREVER. COULDN’T RECOMMEND ENOUGH!! ❤️❤️❤️

Sadie and Paul tied the knot in the autumn last year (2019) at the gorgeous Hampton Manor, which is a stunning venue in Solihull, West Midlands. It was such a fun day with lots of love & laugher from this laid back couple & their guests!

The venue

Sadie said ‘We chose Hampton Manor in Solihull because it was so beautiful, nowhere else compared to it, we just fell in love with it! The staff were so friendly & couldn’t do enough for us & even if it rained we knew the venue would look stunning inside too.’

I love shooting weddings at Hampton Manor because the photo ops are absolutely amazing. It’s a venue that has loads of places to take great photographs; from the rustic backgrounds of the barn, the manor itself and the woodland areas, they all look fab!

The excitement before the wedding

I met Paul & the guys at the venue before the ceremony to take some photographs of them all together, there were the usual nerves but loads of fun & joking around too. I photographed the guests arriving while we waited for Sadie & the bridesmaids to arrive! There was special little guest too; Darcey the French Bull dog! So cute dressed as a bridesmaid!

The ceremony & Drinks Reception

The ceremony was a beautiful service in the rustic barn at Hampton Manor. During the ceremony Sadie & Paul read their own vows. It was so emotional and a real tear-jerker for all. There was a lovely quartet band playing in the background. Everyone was so happy & cheerful. Sadie & Paul were just beaming throughout. The confetti shots are some of my happiest from the day, such fun & laugher from the newlyweds, great expressions too!

After the confetti shots we all walked back to the main building where the drinks reception was taking place in the beautiful, autumnal sunlight. A great chance to get some shots of people mingling & having fun!

The meal & party

After the relaxed drinks reception the meal was held in the orangery, for dinner they had proper wedding grub, which was so yummy !The venue was decorated with pretty flowers! Everything looked so perfect it really was a very special day!

The first dance was Elvis’ Can’t Help Falling in Love with you, Sadie said ‘We didn’t have ‘our song’, neither of us are particularly musical so kinda struggled with deciding. We choose this song because of the words but also because it’s timeless and has stood the test of time. We didn’t want a one hit wonder, we wanted something we’d remember in 20 years time, a classic!’

Sadie & Paul

This lovely pair met on Tinder! They lived 120 miles apart at the time but Paul was working over by Sadie’s part of the country so they think it was fate that they got together. Sadie & Paul got in touch with me a year or so before their wedding. They said they wanted a photographer who would be like a guest, and I loved that they just really wanted me there.

Sadie & Paul’s wedding advice tips for planning you’re your wedding, the biggest piece of advice they could give you is; Don’t stress about the detail, trust the suppliers you choose and it will all come together. And have a wonderful photographer like Donna to take some beautiful pictures you can cherish forever.
